Installation (Diamante, Eclipse, Galant, Lancer, Montero, Montero Sport & Outlander)

CAUTION:
When installing fuel pressure regulator, DO NOT let engine oil in fuel rail.
- To install, reverse removal procedure using NEW "O" ring. When connecting fuel pressure regulator to fuel rail, apply a drop of new engine oil to "O" ring, and insert, being careful not to damage "O" ring. See Fig 1.
- Check that fuel pressure regulator turns smoothly. If not, remove fuel pressure regulator and reinsert it into fuel rail and check again. Tighten fuel pressure regulator bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check for any fuel leaks and repair as necessary.
