Removal & Installation (Lancer)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander, 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport, 2003 Mitsubishi Montero, 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer, and 2003 Mitsubishi Galant. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Raise and support vehicle. Locate EVAP canister, under left rear corner of vehicle. See Fig 1. Disconnect purge hose "B" and vapor hose. See Fig 2. Remove vent hose "B" and "C". Remove EVAP emission ventilation solenoid and EVAP canister assembly. Disconnect vent hose "A". Remove EVAP emission ventilation solenoid and ORVR vent valve module. Remove purge hose "B" and vapor hose. Remove EVAP canister.
To install, reverse removal procedure.
