Installation (Montero)

CAUTION:
DO NOT apply excessive force to evaporative emission canister.
- Ensure to install each EVAP canister bolt and nut in its correct location. See IDENTIFYING EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CANISTER BOLTS/NUTS table. Temporarily install evaporative emission canister brackets "A" and "B" to evaporative emission canister with bolts No. 1 and No. 2. See Fig 1.
- Tighten bolt No. 2 securely. Install evaporative emission canister brackets "C" and "D" to evaporative emission canister brackets "A" and "B" with bolt No. 3 and nut No. 4. Tighten bolt No. 1 securely, and install evaporative emission canister and bracket assembly to vehicle.
- Tighten bolt No. 5 by hand. See Fig 2. Tighten bolt No. 6 by hand. Tighten bolt No. 7. Tighten bolts No. 5 and No. 6. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
