Installation (Lancer)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander, 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport, 2003 Mitsubishi Montero, 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer, and 2003 Mitsubishi Galant. NOTE: Poor idling may result if throttle body gasket is installed incorrectly.
  1. When installing throttle body, install NEW throttle body gasket and ensure gasket is oriented correctly. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . Adjust accelerator cable. See ACCELERATOR CABLE in ON-VEHICLE ADJUSTMENTS article.
  2. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Fill and bleed cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING  under COOLING SYSTEM. Check basic idle speed and adjust as necessary. See BASIC IDLE SPEED under IDLE SPEED & MIXTURE in ON-VEHICLE ADJUSTMENTS article.
