Disassembly & Reassembly (Eclipse & Galant) (2.4L - With Auto-Cruise Control System & 3.0L)

However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. To disassemble, remove throttle position sensor and lever assembly. See Fig 1 and Fig 3 . Remove idle air control motor and "O" ring. Remove bracket. If any idle speed adjusting screw is removed, basic idle speed will need to be adjusted. See BASIC IDLE SPEED under IDLE SPEED & MIXTURE in ON-VEHICLE ADJUSTMENTS article.
  2. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure. If a vacuum port or passage is clogged, use compressed air to clean it out. If air bypass adjusting screw was removed, install NEW "O" ring. Install NEW idle air control motor "O" ring. Install throttle position sensor so it is positioned as shown. See Fig 4. Turn throttle position sensor 90 degrees counterclockwise to set it. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
