Removal & Installation
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander, 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport, 2003 Mitsubishi Montero, 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer, and 2003 Mitsubishi Galant. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Remove intake manifold plenum. See INTAKE MANIFOLD PLENUM . Remove manifold differential pressure sensor and "O" ring. See Figure. Remove solenoid valve and vacuum hose assembly. Remove capacitor. Remove EGR valve and EGR valve gasket.
- Remove purge hose and evaporative emission purge solenoid valve. Remove intake manifold tuning valve assembly and intake manifold tuning valve gasket "P". Remove intake manifold tuning valve gasket "S".
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Install NEW intake manifold tuning valve gaskets. Install NEW EGR valve gasket. Install NEW manifold differential pressure sensor "O" ring. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
