Removal (Montero Sport)
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander, 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport, 2003 Mitsubishi Montero, 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer, and 2003 Mitsubishi Galant. - Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE under FUEL SYSTEMS. Remove throttle body. See THROTTLE BODY .
- Remove ignition coils. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . Disconnect brake booster vacuum hose and PCV hose. Disconnect crankshaft position sensor and cam position sensor connectors. Remove accelerator cable bracket and ignition power transistor. Remove water outlet fitting bracket and water pump stay. Disconnect vacuum hose and fuel pipe.
- Remove solenoid valve and vacuum hose assembly. Remove vacuum control valve bracket and manifold differential pressure sensor. Remove EGR valve and gasket. Remove EGR pipe and gasket. Remove A/T oil dipstick assembly and intake manifold plenum stay. Disconnect throttle cable. Remove intake manifold plenum and gasket.
