Removal (Aerio & Esteem)

Relieve fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect all fuel injector 2-pin harness connectors. Disconnect fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose. Remove fuel rail retaining bolts. Remove fuel rail with injectors from intake manifold. Cover fuel injectors with a shop towel to catch any fuel that may be present. See Fig 1 .
