Removal & Installation (Aerio, Esteem 1.8L, Grand Vitara & XL-7)

Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect TP sensor harness connector. Remove TP sensor retaining screws. Remove TP sensor from throttle body. To install, place TP sensor onto throttle body so that sensor actuating lever engages with throttle body lever. Install TP sensor retaining screws finger tight. Connect TP sensor electrical connector. Connect negative battery cable. Adjust TP sensor to specification. For adjustment procedures, see THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR in ON-VEHICLE ADJUSTMENTS article. After adjustment is complete, tighten TP sensor retaining screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
