Removal & Installation (Vitara W/O Warm-Up Three-Way Catalyst)

Ensure engine is cool before removing HO2S No. 2. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove driver's seat. Remove left front door opening sill plate. Lift carpeting as necessary to access HO2S No. 2 connector. Disconnect connector from HO2S No. 2. Raise and support vehicle. Remove HO2S No. 2 from exhaust pipe. See Figure .
To install, tighten HO2S No. 2 to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. After installing HO2S No. 2, start engine and check for exhaust leaks.
