Removal & Installation (Aerio & Esteem 1.6L)

Ensure engine is cool before removing HO2S No. 1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove HO2S No. 1 connector from retaining bracket. Disconnect HO2S No. 1 harness connector. Remove upper exhaust manifold cover as necessary. Remove HO2S No. 1 from exhaust manifold. See Fig 1 .
To install, tighten HO2S No. 1 to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. After installing HO2S No. 1, connect negative battery cable, start engine and check for exhaust leaks.
