Removal & Installation (Esteem 1.6L)

To remove, disconnect negative cable from battery. Drain coolant system and disconnect coupler from ECT sensor No.1 and No. 2. Remove ECT sensor No.1 and No. 2 from thermostat case. To install, reverse removal procedures noting the following:

Clean mating surfaces of ECT sensor No.1 and No. 2 and thermostat case.
Check O-ring for damage and replace if necessary.
Tighten ECT sensors to specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Connect connectors to sensors securely.
Refill cooling system.
