Removal & Installation (Aerio & Esteem 1.8L)

To remove, disconnect negative cable from battery. Drain coolant system and disconnect coupler from ECT sensor. Remove ECT sensor from water outlet pipe. To install, reverse removal procedures noting the following:
- Clean mating surfaces of sensor and water outlet pipe.
- Tighten ECT sensor to specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect connector to sensor securely.
- Refill cooling system.
