Removal & Installation (Grand Vitara & XL-7)

Disconnect negative battery cable. Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is located at front of engine, right side, near crank shaft pulley. Disconnect CKP harness connector, located at right side front of engine near cam gears cover. Remove retaining bolt, slide out sensor. See Fig 1 . To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten CKP sensor retaining bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
