Removal & Installation (Aerio)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Relieve cooling system pressure and drain engine coolant so level is below throttle body. Remove air cleaner outlet hose. Remove strut tower bar. Disconnect accelerator cable and kickdown cable (A/T) from throttle body.
  2. Disconnect coolant hose from throttle body. Remove intake air pipe. Remove surge tank pipe. Disconnect all harness connectors from sensors attached to throttle body. Label and disconnect all vacuum hoses from throttle body.
  3. Remove throttle body. Clean mating surfaces and install throttle body using NEW gasket. To finish installation, reverse remaining removal procedure. Tighten nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Fill cooling system.
