Brake Booster Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. For vehicle equipped with ABS, disconnect 3 brake pipes (2) from ABS actuator (1).

    Special tool 

    (A): 09950-78220

  2. Remove master cylinder assembly referring to "MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION:  ".
  3. Disconnect brake vacuum hose from brake booster.
  4. Disconnect push rod clevis (2) from brake pedal arm (3).
  5. Remove attaching nuts (6) and then booster as shown in the figure. See Fig 2 .
CAUTION: Never disassemble brake booster. Disassembly will spoil its original function. If is found faulty, replace it with a new one.
