DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE: Check to make sure that the following conditions are satisfied when using this "DTC Confirmation Procedure".
  • Atmospheric pressure: higher than 560 mmHg (Altitude: lower than 2790 m (9150 ft))
  • Intake air temperature: between -14°C and 70°C (6.8°F and 158°F)
  • Engine coolant temperature at engine start: between 30°C (86°F) and 60°C (140°F).
  • The following DTCs are not detected: P0117, P0118 and P0335
  1. With ignition switch OFF, connect scan tool.
  2. Turn ON ignition switch, clear DTC if any.
  3. Start engine and run it at idle speed for more than 20 min.
  4. Stop and restart engine while engine coolant temperature more than 70 °C (158 °F).
  5. Run engine at idle speed for more than 15 min.
  6. Check DTC and pending DTC by using scan tool.
