DTC P0340: Camshaft Position Sensor - Circuit Malfunction: Condition

DTC is set when ECM does not detect Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor input voltage with engine running (Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor signal is detected). Possible causes are:

Open or short circuit between CMP and ECM.
CMP reluctor wheel damaged.
CMP sensor malfunction.
CMP sensor dirty or loose.
CKP sensor dirty or loose.
ECM malfunction.
