DTC Confirmation Test

Turn ignition off, connect scan tool and turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Ensure fuel tank is at least 1/4 full, vehicle is at an altitude of 8000 feet or below, barometric pressure is 75 kPa or more, ambient temperature is 14°F (-10°C) or more, intake air temperature is 158°F (70°C) or less, and engine coolant temperature is 14-230°F (-10-110°C). Start engine and allow it to idle for 2 minutes or more. Using scan tool, check for current or pending DTC P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303 or P0304. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If DTC P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303 or P0304 is not set at idle speed; consult with customer as to driving under conditions during which DTC was originally set, and using scan tool retrieve freeze frame data.
