Diagnosis & Repair Procedure

  1. If engine system check has been performed, go to next step. If engine system check has not been performed, go to A4: ENGINE SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  2. If any other DTC besides DTC P0133 is set, perform testing for those DTCs first. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS  . Before replacing HO2S No. 1, inspect sensor for contamination. If contamination is present, determine cause of and repair before installing new HO2S No. 1. If contamination is not present, replace HO2S No. 1. After repair, repeat DTC CONFIRMATION TEST  .
