Throttle Body Removal & Installation (H25 Engine): Removal

  1. Disconnect negative cable (-) at battery.
  2. Drain engine coolant referring to COOLANT DRAINING .
  3. Detach fuse/relay box.
  4. Remove strut tower bar.
  5. Disconnect accelerator cable (1) and A/T throttle cable (2) (for A/T model) from throttle body.
  6. Disconnect water hose (3) from throttle body.

  7. Remove surge tank cover.
  8. Remove intake air pipe (1) and surge tank pipe (2).

  9. Disconnect connector of injector wire.
  10. Disconnect connectors of TP sensor (2), MAF sensor (1) and IAC valve (3).
  11. Disconnect ground terminal (6) from intake manifold (5).
  12. Remove clamp bracket (4) from intake collector.

  13. Disconnect connectors of EVAP canister purge valve (1) and EGR valve (5).
  14. Disconnect PCV hose (6), breather hose (3) and EVAP canister purge valve hose (2).
  15. Remove EGR pipe (4) from exhaust manifold.

  16. Remove throttle body (3) and intake collector (2) from intake manifold (1).
  17. Disconnect hoses of IAC valve and PCV from throttle body.
  18. Remove throttle body from intake collector.
    NOTE:
    • MAF sensor (4), TP sensor (5), or other components containing rubber must not be placed in a solvent or cleaner bath. A chemical reaction will cause these parts to swell, harden or get distorted.
    • Don't put drills or wires into passages for cleaning. It causes damages in passages.
