Vacuum solenoid valve & its circuit

- Disconnect vacuum hoses from intake air valve and vacuum tank.
- Remove ECM cover.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using service wire, ground "C51-2-6" terminal of ECM connector (valve ON) (2) and unground it (valve OFF) (1).
- Check vacuum solenoid valve for operation and vacuum passage for clog when valve is ON and OFF by using service wire.
If check result is not satisfactory, check vacuum hose, vacuum solenoid valve referring to VACUUM TANK ASSEMBLY INSPECTION , wire harness and connections.

[A] Valve OFF: When applying vacuum to hose (2), vacuum is maintained.
[B] Valve OFF: When applying vacuum to hose (1), air goes into nozzle (3).
[C] Valve ON: When applying vacuum to hose (2), air goes into hose (1).
