Removal & Installation (2.2L)

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove spark plug cover on top of valve cover. Disconnect Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor harness connector. Remove drive belt. Remove top harness cover on timing belt cover. Remove crankshaft pulley. Remove timing belt cover. Remove CMP sensor mounting bolt. Remove CMP sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
