Removal & Installation

Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
Remove driver-side air bag module from steering wheel. See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE . Remove steering wheel retaining nut. Mark steering wheel and shaft for re-assembly reference. Using Steering Wheel Puller (09944-36011), remove steering wheel.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure reference marks are aligned. Tighten steering wheel retaining nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
