Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Ensure ignition is off. If other DTCs are set, complete appropriate diagnosis and repairs. If other DTCs are not set, go to next step.
  2. If air bag modules have deployed, repair appropriate diagnosis and repair. If air bag modules have not deployed, go to next step.
  3. Inspect front of vehicle and undercarriage for signs of impact. If signs of impact is present, perform inspections and repairs as necessary. See POST-COLLISION INSPECTION . If no signs of impact are present, substitute a known-good SDM and retest. See SENSING & DIAGNOSTIC MODULE (SDM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
