Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Ensure ignition is off. If air bag system has not deployed, go to next step. If air bag system has deployed, perform inspections and repairs as necessary. See POST-COLLISION INSPECTION .
  2. Inspect front of vehicle and undercarriage for signs of impact. If any sign of impact is present, perform inspections and repairs as necessary. See POST-COLLISION INSPECTION . If no signs of impact are present, substitute a known-good SDM and retest. See SENSING & DIAGNOSTIC MODULE (SDM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
