Grand Vitara & Vitara

Remove master cylinder reservoir from master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove master cylinder from vehicle.
Remove circlip. See Fig 1. On non-ABS models, remove piston stopper bolt. On all models, carefully pull primary piston out. On non-ABS models, apply air at stopper bolt hole to remove secondary piston. On ABS models, pull out secondary piston.
To install, reverse removal procedure. On non-ABS models, install piston stopper bolt after all components and circlip have been installed.
