Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position and ensure AIR BAG warning light bulb is operational. If AIR BAG warning light bulb is okay, go to next step. If AIR BAG warning light bulb is not operating, repair circuit as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  2. Clear all DTCs. Retrieve DTCs. If DTC B1061 is displayed, substitute a known-good SDM. See SENSING & DIAGNOSTIC MODULE (SDM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If DTC B1061 is not displayed, recheck air bag system. Go to AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
