Diagnostic Procedure
- Pull top of glove box outward while depressing stops. Allow glove box to fall toward passenger seat. Disengage CPA clip and disconnect Yellow connector for passenger-side air bag module. See Figure.
- Connect STEERING WHEEL connector of Load Tool (09932-75010) to harness side of passenger-side air bag module connector. Turn ignition on. Retrieve DTCs. If DTC B1015 is current, go to next step. If DTC B1015 is not current, replace passenger-side air bag module. See PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect SDM connector. See SENSING & DIAGNOSTIC MODULE (SDM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Measure resistance between SDM connector terminals No. 7 (Yellow-Red wire) and No. 8 (Yellow wire). See Figure. If resistance is 4.5 ohms or less, substitute a known-good SDM and retest. If resistance is more than 4.5 ohms, repair open or high resistance in Yellow-Red wire or Yellow wire. Reconnect all components. Clear DTCs. See DIAGNOSTICS . Repeat AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
