Removal & Installation (Esteem 1.6L, Vitara & Swift)
On 1.3L and 1.6L each engine has 2 ignition coil packs (igniter/ignition coil). See Fig 1 . Turn ignition off. Disconnect wiring harness connectors to ignition coils. Disconnect spark plug wires 1 and 3 from ignition coil towers. Remove 4 retaining (2 for each coil) bolts. Turning coils and spark plug boots, slowly pull up to remove coils and spark plug wires from spark plugs. Remove spark plugs. To install, reverse removal procedure.
