Installation (Manual Hubs)

Place NEW "O" ring on free-wheeling hub body. See Figure. Position free-wheeling hub body to wheel hub flange, aligning bolt holes. Install free-wheeling hub body bolts and using a crisscross pattern, tighten to 18 ft. lbs. (24 N.m) for manual hubs with attaching at the front face of the hub, and 24 ft. lbs. (33 N.m) for automatic hub and manual nubs with attaching screws at rear flange of hub. On manual hub, Place NEW gasket on free-wheeling hub cover. Install free-wheeling hub cover and using a crisscross pattern, tighten bolts to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m). On automatic hub, ensure "O" ring is seated properly. Install automatic hub cover using a universal oil filter wrench.
