Diagnostic Aids

An intermittent condition is likely to be caused by short between CKT Y/R or Y, or a malfunctioning shorting bar on passenger-side air bag which would require replacement of air bag. The test for this DTC is only run while AIR BAG warning lamp is performing the bulb check unless DTC 17 or DTC 26 is detected. When scan tool CLEAR CODES command is issued and malfunction is still present, DTC will not reappear until next ignition cycle.
