Test Description

Diagnosing DTCs in correct order is important. Failure to diagnose DTCs in order specified may result in extended diagnostic time, incorrect diagnosis and incorrect part replacement.

NOTE: Following step references refer to test step numbers on diagnostic chart. See Fig 1 . For circuit number and wire color identification, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  1. This test check if flashing cycle of AIR BAG warning lamp indicates DTC.
  2. This test checks if flashing cycle of AIR BAG warning lamp is caused by grounding of diagnosis switch terminal.
  3. This test checks for short from CKT W to B+.
