Test Description

Diagnosing DTCs in correct order is important. Failure to diagnose DTCs in order specified may result in extended diagnostic time, incorrect diagnosis and incorrect part replacement.

NOTE: Following step references refer to test step numbers on diagnostic chart. See Fig 1 . For circuit number and wire color identification, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  1. AIR BAG warning lamp should flash 7 times after ignition is first turned on.
  2. This test checks for proper operation of serial data line.
