Engine Oiling System

A trochoid type pump assembly is mounted on front lower case and is driven directly by crankshaft. Oil, under pressure from pump, passes through oil filter. Flow is then diverted through 2 passages in cylinder block. One passage reaches crankshaft journal bearings and connecting rod journal bearings. The second passage directs oil under pressure to lubricate camshaft and valve train.
