Valve Springs (1.3L DOHC)

  1. Remove cylinder head. See appropriate CYLINDER HEAD section. Remove camshaft. See appropriate CAMSHAFT & SPROCKETS section.
  2. Use Valve Spring Compressor (09916-14510) and Valve Spring Retainer Remover (09916-84510) to remove retainer locks. See Fig 1 . Remove retainers, springs, spring seats and valves. Keep all components in order for reassembly reference. Reverse removal procedure to complete installation.
