Undersize Bearings
- Bearings are available in .010" (.25 mm) undersize. Undersized bearings are coded with 2 color marks and are available in 5 thickness variations. See Fig 1 .
- Using the finished diameter of the journal and letters stamped on mating surface of cylinder block, refer to COLOR CODE FOR UNDERSIZE BEARINGS TABLE . Select undersized bearing to be installed. Use Plastigage method to ensure correct clearance of installed undersize bearing.
