DTC B16F8: Satellite SAFING Sensor Recognition Error

Diagnosis start condition: 

When the ignition voltage is 10 - 16 V.

DTC detecting condition: 

• Side impact sensor (under rear seat) is misinstalled.
• The airbag control module is installed incorrectly.

Failure detection pattern: 

• "Primary" (high-priority diagnosis)

Warning light/indicator light: 

• Airbag warning light◦

1. CHECK Side impact sensor (under the rear center seat)  .

   Check the part number printed on the sensor. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>IMPACT SENSOR>REMOVAL .

   Is the part number correct?

   Yes:  Replace the airbag control module. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>AIRBAG CONTROL MODULE>REMOVAL .

   No:  Replace with a genuine sensor.
