DTC B1003: Airbag Ecu Malfunction

Diagnosis start condition:

When the ignition voltage is 10 - 16 V.

DTC detecting condition:

When an internal error occurs in the airbag ECM.

Trouble symptom:

Airbag warning light illuminates.

Failure detection pattern:

"Primary" (high-priority diagnosis)

Warning light/indicator light:

Airbag warning light◦

CHECK DTC .
Read the DTC of [Airbag] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to AIRBAG (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

Is any of DTC B1003, B1007, B1105, B1106, B1115, B1116, B1117, B1118, B1120, B1121, B1125, B1126, B1145, B1146, B1170, B1185, B1195, B1196 or B1199 displayed? (Current code)

Yes: Replace the airbag control module. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>AIRBAG CONTROL MODULE .

No: Perform the basic diagnostic procedure. Ref. to AIRBAG (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE .
