DTC B1000: Airbag Ecu Malfunction
Diagnosis start condition:
When the ignition voltage is 10 - 16 V.
DTC detecting condition:
- When the battery power supply is shut off three or more consecutive times at ignition ON.
- When an error occurs in the airbag control module internal circuit.
Trouble symptom:
Airbag warning light illuminates.
Failure detection pattern:
- "Primary" (high-priority diagnosis)
Warning light/indicator light:
- Airbag warning light◦
CAUTION:
Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to AIRBAG (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- AIRBAG CONTROL MODULE IGNITION ON/OFF

- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- After 10 seconds or more have elapsed, turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Read the DTC of [Airbag] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to AIRBAG (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC B1000 displayed? (Current code)
Yes: Replace the airbag control module. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>AIRBAG CONTROL MODULE>REMOVAL .
No: Perform the basic diagnostic procedure. Ref. to AIRBAG (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE .
