Front Seat: Removal

CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. Remove the headrest assembly.
  2. Remove the slide rail assembly installing bolt.
    CAUTION: Use a suitable tool for the front seat mounting bolt. As low head bolts are used, the bolts may be damaged.
    1. Tilt the backrest assembly forward.
    2. Move the front seat to the front-most position.
    3. Using the TORX® T50, remove the bolts.
    4. Move the front seat to the rearmost position.
    5. Using the TORX® T50, remove the bolts.
      NOTE: After the bolts are removed, move the seat to the middle position in order to make it easier to take out of the vehicle.
  3. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE: Raise the cushion seating face when the seat is disassembled, for example, to replace the seat surface. (Model with lifter)
  4. Disconnect the connector.
    1. Remove the plastic fastener. (Model with power seat)
    2. Disconnect the connector between passenger compartment floor under front seat - seat.
  5. Take out the front seat from the vehicle.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the body.
