Auto Headlight Beam Leveler Warning Light Blinks (Not Initialized)

CAUTION: Initialization is required after replacing the auto headlight beam leveler control module. Ref. to LIGHTING SYSTEM>AUTO HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVELER SYSTEM>OPERATION .

INITIALIZE AUTO HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVELER CONTROL MODULE .
Initialize the auto headlight beam leveler control module. Ref. to LIGHTING SYSTEM>AUTO HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVELER SYSTEM>OPERATION .

Is the initialization completed successfully?

Yes : The auto headlight beam leveler control module was initialized.

No : GO TO 2.
CHECK DTC .
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
2. Read the DTC of [Headlight/Foglight] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to HEADLIGHT/FOGLIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Are any DTCs displayed? (Current code)

Yes : Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. Ref. to HEADLIGHT/FOGLIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST .

No : GO TO 3.
CHECK DTC .
Read the DTC of [Combination Meter] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) .

Are any DTCs displayed? (Current code)

Yes : Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST .

No : GO TO 4.
CHECK DTC .
Read the DTC of [Body Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

Are any DTCs displayed? (Current code)

Yes : Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST .

No : GO TO 5.
CHECK HEADLIGHT LO BEAM SIGNAL .
Set the headlight switch to Lo beam to illuminate it.

Does the Lo beam come on?

Yes : GO TO 6.

No : Check the headlight. Ref. to LIGHTING SYSTEM>HEADLIGHT SYSTEM>INSPECTION .
CHECK FOR POOR CONTACT .
1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2. Check the auto headlight beam leveler control module, combination meter, body integrated unit, or headlight connector for poor contact (half engagement, etc.).
Is the check result OK?

Yes : The circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.

NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

No : Repair the poor contact of connector, and check that the problem is resolved. If the problem is resolved, it is possible that temporary poor contact occurred.
