Air Cleaner Case: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the air intake duct. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>AIR INTAKE DUCT>REMOVAL .
  3. Disconnect the connector (A) from the mass air flow and intake air temperature sensor.
  4. Loosen the clamp (B) of the turbo duct.
  5. Disengage the clip (C), and remove the air cleaner case (rear) and air cleaner element.

  6. Remove the air cleaner case (front).
    NOTE: The protrusion of the air cleaner case (front) is inserted in the cushion of the air cleaner case bracket.

  7. Remove the air cleaner case bracket (A) and the side frame bracket (B).
    NOTE: Remove if necessary.
