DTC B1509: Cockpit Control Signal Input
DTC detecting condition:
LVDS communication with the cockpit Control Module is impossible.
Trouble symptom:
Meter LCD cannot be displayed.
- CHECK DTC
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Combination Meter]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY
- Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
- Read the DTC of [Combination Meter] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)
Is DTC B1509 displayed? (Current code)
Yes: Go to 2
No: Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause. - CHECK CONNECTOR

Check the harness between the cockpit Control Module connector and the combination meter.
Is the check result OK?
Yes: Go to 3
No: Repair the harness or replace the components.
- CHECK COCKPIT Control Module
Perform the inspection according to the diagnosis for the cockpit Control Module. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
Is the check result OK?
Yes: Replace the combination meter. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER
No: Replace the cockpit Control Module. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>COCKPIT DISPLAY
