DTC B2252: Speaker Line Shorts To GND

DTC detecting condition  :

Ground short circuit occurrence of any of CH1 - CH8 is notified by Harman amplifier.

Trouble symptom  :

Does not sound.

CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description"  . Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. CHECK DTC  .
    1. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Cockpit Control]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY .
    2. Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
    3. Read the DTC of [Cockpit Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

    Is DTC B2252 displayed? (Current code)

    Yes:  Go to  2.

    No:  Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.

    NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
  2. CHECK CONNECTOR  .

    Check the harness between the cockpit control module connector and audio amplifier.

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes:  Go to  3.

    No:  Repair the harness or replace the components.

  3. CHECK AUDIO AMPLIFIER  .
    1. Replace the audio amplifier with a new or properly functioning part. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>POWER AMPLIFIER .
    2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Cockpit Control]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY .
    3. Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
    4. Read the DTC of [Cockpit Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

    Is DTC B2252 displayed? (Current code)

    Yes:  Return the audio amplifier to its original position, and replace the cockpit control module. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>COCKPIT DISPLAY .

    No:  Audio amplifier has a failure. Replace the audio amplifier. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>POWER AMPLIFIER .
