Rear Gate Trim: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the trim panel assembly rear gate UPR.
    1. Remove the claws on the trim edge.
    2. Release the claws in the center of trim, and remove the trim panel assembly rear gate UPR.

  3. Remove the trim panel assembly rear gate side.
    1. Release the claws.
    2. Release the claws on the bottom of trim, and remove the trim panel assembly rear gate side.

  4. Remove the power rear gate inner switch assembly. (Model with power rear gate) Ref. to POWER REAR GATE SYSTEM>POWER REAR GATE INNER SWITCH>REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the trim panel assembly rear gate LWR.
    1. Remove the cap rear gate grip.
      NOTE: Insert a flat tip screwdriver wrapped with protective tape from the slit.
    2. Remove the bolt of the rear gate grip.
    3. Remove the clips on both ends.
    4. Release the clips, and remove the trim panel assembly rear gate LWR.
