Lower Inner Trim: Removal
CAUTION:
- Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- Side impact sensor (under the rear center seat) for the airbag system is located under the front center of the rear seat cushion. Be careful not to apply strong impact to the sensor when working with the rear seat cushion removed.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Release the claws, and then remove the cover side sill front Rr.CAUTION: Do not pull with excessive force. Claws of the cover side sill front Rr may be damaged.
- Remove the weather strip body side flange front.
- Remove the clips, and remove the cover side sill front Ft.
- Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. Ref. to SEATS>REAR SEAT>REMOVAL .
- Release the clips and claws, and then remove the cover side sill rear UPR.CAUTION: Do not pull with excessive force. Doing so may damage the claws of the cover side sill rear UPR.NOTE: Remove the metal clip left on the flange section of the vehicle body, and install it to the cover side sill rear UPR.
- Remove the weather strip body side flange rear.
- Release the clips, and remove the trim panel assembly B pillar LWR.
- Release the clip by pulling the trim panel assembly B pillar LWR toward you.
- Expand the claws of the trim panel assembly B pillar LWR outward, and remove it from the trim panel assembly B pillar UPR.
CAUTION: Do not expand the trim panel assembly B pillar LWR excessively. Doing so may damage the trim.NOTE: First release the claw located to the front of the vehicle. - Disconnect the claws and remove the cover catcher.
NOTE:
Remove the cover catcher using a plastic remover.
