When Using Remover (99099FL000)

  1. Remove the trunk trim panel side. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>TRUNK ROOM TRIM>REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the torsion bar.
    CAUTION: During removal and installation, handle the torsion bar carefully, because it will generate reactive force.
    NOTE:
    • Make markings on the torsion bar LH and RH each.
    • Hook the ST on the torsion bar in the following procedure.
      1. Hook the U-shape end of torsion bar on the center plate of ST.
      2. Allow the lower surface of ST to touch the torsion bar.

    Preparation tool: 

    ST: REMOVER (99099FL000)

    1. Open the bracket clip.
    2. Remove the torsion bar from the clamp-shape portion of the bracket clip.
    3. Remove the bracket clip from the vehicle body.
    4. Remove the torsion bar RH from the U-shape portion of the hinge link LH.
    5. Using the ST, remove the left end of the torsion bar RH from the hinge bracket LH.
    6. Remove the right end of the torsion bar RH from the hinge bracket RH.
    7. Remove the torsion bar LH from the U-shape portion of the hinge link RH.
    8. Using the ST, remove the right end of the torsion bar LH from the hinge bracket RH.
    9. Remove the left end of the torsion bar LH from the hinge bracket LH.
