Emergency Pre-Collision Steering Off Indicator Light Does Not Illuminate/Emergency Pre-Collision Steering Off Indicator Light Goes Off Automatically

CHECK CONDITION OF OCCURRENCE .
Interview the customer to check if it occurs when the engine is started.

Does it occur when starting the engine?

Yes : This is normal. (Light illumination for a while and going off after the engine start is normal. Also, light illumination when the BSD/RCTA switch is turned OFF before the engine start is normal.)

No : Go to 2.
CHECK COMBINATION METER DISPLAY .
Perform the ON/OFF operation on the "BSD/RCTA ON/OFF" setting screen of the center information display.

Is the BSD/RCTA OFF indicator light of the combination meter as follows?

When the setting is OFF: Light ON

When the setting is ON: Light OFF

Yes : Go to 3.

No : Perform the diagnosis for cockpit control system. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
CHECK DATA MONITOR .
1. Check that the "BSD/RCTA ON/OFF" setting screen of the center information display is ON. If the function is set to OFF, operate the setting screen to switch to ON.
2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [EyeSight]. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
  - Pre-Collision Brake Function
3. Perform the ON/OFF operation on the "Pre-collision brake ON/OFF" setting screen of the center information display.
Do the ON/OFF operation of "Pre-collision brake ON/OFF" setting screen and the indication of [Data Monitor] match?

Yes : Go to 4.

No : Perform the diagnosis for cockpit control system. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
CHECK DATA MONITOR .
1. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [EyeSight]. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
  - Autonomous Emergency Steering OFF Indicator
2. Switch to ON on the "Pre-collision brake ON/OFF" setting screen of the center information display.
3. Perform the ON/OFF operation on the "BSD/RCTA ON/OFF" setting screen of the center information display.
Is the indication of [Data Monitor] as shown below?

When set to ON on the "BSD/RCTA ON/OFF" setting screen: [TURN OFF]

When set to OFF on "BSD/RCTA ON/OFF" setting screen: [TURN ON]

Yes : Go to 5.

No : Replace the stereo camera. Ref. to EYESIGHT>STEREO CAMERA>REMOVAL .
CHECK DATA MONITOR .
1. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [EyeSight]. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
  - Autonomous Emergency Steering OFF Indicator
2. Set to ON on the "BSD/RCTA ON/OFF" setting screen of the center information display.
3. Perform the ON/OFF operation on the "Pre-collision brake ON/OFF" setting screen of the center information display.
Is the indication of [Data Monitor] as shown below?

When set to ON on the "Pre-collision brake ON/OFF" setting screen: [TURN OFF]

When set to OFF on the "Pre-collision brake ON/OFF" setting screen: [TURN ON]

Yes : Go to 6.

No : Replace the stereo camera. Ref. to EYESIGHT>STEREO CAMERA>REMOVAL .
CHECK COMBINATION METER .
Perform the ON/OFF operation on the "Pre-collision brake ON/OFF" setting screen of the center information display.

Is Autonomous Emergency Steering OFF indicator of the combination meter as follows?

When the function is OFF: Illuminate

When the function is ON: Go off

Yes : Currently, it is normal. Finish the diagnosis.

No : Perform the inspection according to the diagnosis for combination meter. Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
