DTC C2549: Assist Map Selection

DTC detecting condition: 

CAN communication error is received or CCM information is not received correctly.

Trouble symptom: 

Proper constant may not be set and the driver may feel odd when operating the steering wheel. (The EPS warning light does not illuminate.)

1. CHECK DTC  .
   1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
   2. Read the DTC of [Cockpit Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)

   Is DTC of the cockpit control module displayed?

   Yes  : Perform the diagnosis according to the DTC. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST

   No  : Go to  2.

2. CHECK LAN SYSTEM  .

   Check the LAN system. Ref. to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

   Is the check result OK?

   Yes  : Go to  3.

   No  : Perform the diagnosis for LAN system.

3. CHECK POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE  .
   1. Connect all connectors.
   2. Execute the inspection mode. Ref. to POWER STEERING (DIAGNOSTICS)>INSPECTION MODE 
   3. Read the DTC of [Power Steering System] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to POWER STEERING (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) 

   Is DTC C2549 displayed in current code?

   Yes  : Replace the steering gearbox. Ref. to POWER ASSISTED SYSTEM (POWER STEERING)>ELECTRIC POWER STEERING GEARBOX

   No  : It results from a temporary noise interference. Clear the memory to finish the diagnosis. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY
